Taxi to the Dark SideI’m watching this tonight…. I learned last week on Bill Moyers PBS program that The Discovery Channel had purchased the rights to this Documentary but decided against airing it due to governmental pressure… well HBO has picked it & will air it in September… its nominated for Best Documentary…. I won’t give a detailed review, just a quick opinion…It was a great documentary & worthy of a nomination. I’ve now seen 3 of the 5 nominated Doc’s, Sicko, No End In Sight along with Taxi To The Dark Side & even though I’m going to root for “No End In Sight” if either of the other two that I’ve seen wins I wouldn’t be upset. Taxi To The Dark Side holds your attention with a brutal & often times tough to watch story of the US & the torture policies carried out in Afghanistan, Abu Ghraib & GITMO….. even though it is well made & horrifyingly interesting it’s hard to recommend unless you know who your recommending it to because of the graphic scenes & stories… If you think you can handle it then make it your business to watch it. You will only be disappointed in your government, not in any lost time.Posted By Peter
