Its the 25 year anniversary of the Elia rant and Deadspin, among others, is all over it. But, for sheer hilarity, this Earl Weaver off-air interview excerpt is the Gold Standard of NSFW obscenity. Some of you might have seen this. But this is a classic in many ways — the first time I watched, Earl Weaver cracks me up. But its the sheer professionalism of the interviewer that struck me the second time — its the “what the hell, let’s ask him about tomatoes” portion of the interview where the guy didn’t even HINT of what occurs previously.
