My brother and I had a long talk this afternoon. All about my late Dad’s assets. Long story short, my brother said bad investing and greed basically is what has lead Wall Street to the fate it now sits in. When asking if my brother supported a bailout he said, no way. I agree with him. In capitalism you play by “no rules.” So there shouldn’t be a rule that government has to bailout the bastion of capitalism “Wall Street” when its greed leads to its demise. Yeah, greed is good. But only when they win. When they lose, they call on us to bailout their sorry asses. Then of course, greed sucks. - G
