Source: Manny, Dodgers agree
Manny Ramirez and the Los Angeles Dodgers finally reached common ground in their negotiations, according to a source close to the talks.
After multiple failed attempts, Ramirez accepted a two-year, $45 million deal with the Dodgers on Tuesday.
Agent Scott Boras didn’t immediately return a phone call seeking comment.
The Dodgers announced last week that Boras had declined the team’s fourth offer to the star outfielder — a one-year, $25 million contract with a $20 million player option for 2010.
The outfielder is expected to travel to Los Angeles on Tuesday night. Ramirez would then report to the Dodgers’ spring training camp in Arizona.
